No other table of the this exact design appears to be published. The Emperor Yongzheng ordered a similar table with this untypically Chinese design of a single pedestal with openwork bracket supports in his eighth year. Cf. Zhongguo Meishu Quanji, vol.11, Bamboo, Wood, Ivory, p.58 and col.pl.180, from the Palace Museum, Beijing. Like the present example, it has an openwork frieze below the edge of the top. The design of openwork brackets supporting a central pedestal also recalls porcelain hat stands in the Qing Dynasty
