Each with a cartouche-shaped padded back and serpentine-fronted seat covered in nailed simulated brown or black leather, the toprail centred by a roundel with a crest of a liver bird holding an oak leaf branch, surrounded by the motto 'DEUS.NOBIS.HAEC.OTIA.FACIT', on ring-turned tapering baluster legs, brass caps and castors, each chair stamped 'W. TURNER & SON UPHOLSTERERS AND CABINET MAKERS /.. LIVERPOOL', the upholstery distressed on one chair (8)
