The moulded rectangular top above a geometrically-glazed door enclosing shelves, the sides conformingly-glazed, on a stand with a plain frieze, on square chamfered legs headed by pierced scrolling angle-brackets and joined by a later turned X-shaped stretcher, inscribed in red paint to the reverse 'R.3076', previously with a cresting, the shelves probably original

The fretwork pattern of the glazing corresponds to the pattern for glazing-bars on a 'Library Bookcase' illustrated in Thomas Chippendale's, The Gentleman and Cabinet-Maker's Director, London, 3rd. ed., 1762, pl. XCI.
