Malta: Envelope, A151, addressed to "Lady Louis, Malta." and inscribed "via Falmouth", bearing 1840 1d. plate V, DA (state 2) and PA-PD strip of four, 2d. plate 1, FI, GI and HI, mostly with margins all round, cancelled by strikes of the distinctive orange Maltese Cross of Bristol and showing corresponding despatch backstamp of 9 January 1841, the front of the envelope also showing black handstruck "No.17"; two stamps repaired and the address panel slightly toned.
