1842 (20 Sept.) envelope, a200, used originally from Brighton to Burwash, cancelled by black Maltese Cross, showing Brighton and Lamberhurst backstamps of 20 and 21 September 1842, then re-used sixteen months later to Mayfield, affixed with 1841 2d. plate 3, CG, margins all round (just touched at lower-right), tied by very neat black Maltese Cross and showing handstruck "Burwash/Penny Post" below, the reverse showing light Lamberhurst despatch datestamp of 12 January 1844; minor imperfections but fine, most attractive and an extremely unusual usage.
