Turkey: Letter sheet, a96, used from London to Constantinople, the upper and lower flaps bearing 1d. plate 1a, QK-RK and QL-RL vertical pairs and PL single, cancelled by black ink manuscript zig-zags, the address panel with red circular London "PAID" datestamp of 8 May 1840, Calais transit c.d.s., handstruck "A.T.F" and variously rated in manuscript, the cover with toning and rastel punch holes evidencing disinfection, the written content inside includes "This is written on one of the new Postage Covers..... this fantastic trick will cost the patron a Million Sterling"; some creasing and a few splits.
