Waterton's Envelope Advertiser, printed in blue inside letter sheet with stereo missing, used to Portsmouth dated 8 February 1841, cancelled by two apparently different strikes of the red Maltese Cross, the address panel showing framed "BRECHIN/FEB 8/1841" datestamp in black (assisted at places in ink); some minor perimeter defects and identification label affixed to reverse but otherwise fine. This is the only recorded example of this advertisement on the 2d. value. Photo
