used Scots Locals: 1841 2d. plate 4, SD-SE, a pair with fresh colour and margins virtually all round (mostly large but SD just clipped at upper-left), showing fine single strike of the black framed "HOPE/STREET" (contrary to regulations); traces of reduced staining and minor scissor cut between the impressions at top but in no way detracting from the superb appearance of this rare item.
