With nickel finished lever movement, 23 jewels, the silvered matt dial with applied baton numerals, two windows for day and month, three subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds, 30 minutes register and day combined with phases of the moon, the circular case (No. 2779147 Ref. 2499/100) with downturned lugs, engraved initials on snap on back, two round chronograph buttons in the band, together with an 18K gold Patek Philippe buckle, case, dial and movement signed
38 mm. diam.

A similar watch is illustrated in Patek Philippe by M. Huber & A. Banbery, p. 230/231, pl. 384 and in Armbanduhren by G. Negretti & F. Nencini, p. 164/165.
Patek Philippe produced 349 examples of this model from 1951 to 1985 in four series. The first series was made with square buttons and a tachometer dial, the second with round buttons and a tachometer dial and the third series with round buttons and a simple dial. The present lot is from the fourth series which is similar to the third but with the modification of a sapphire crystal.
