Maker's mark of Hans Weienmayr, Augsburg, 1613-1615, struck with French import mark for 1864-1893
On circular domed base chased with bands of scrolls and foliage on matting and engraved with later prize inscription dated 1876, the possibly replaced openwork stem formed as an infant bacchanal astride a barrel and holding a cup enclosed by three vines, with chased foliage calyx above, the cover with two-handled vase finial, marked on foot and with French import marks for 1864-1893
