Oval black box, the cover centred with an oval portrait miniature of a young Lady in low-cut turquoise-blue dress and pearl necklace with upswept curled hair, within a reeded gold mount with pierced ribbon and foliate border, the pierced gold rims stamped with flowerheads and foliage
