Shaped triangular gilt-metal suspension hook of chased gilt-metal with Venus and Cupid within c-scrolls borders, hung with two cut glass scent bottles with gold cagework, the cork stoppers attached to the necks with gold chains, hung with a hinged gold cartouche repoussé with a putto within rocaille scrolls attached with a hook attached to a tapering repoussé gold etui, the cover chased with a putto and a landscape, the obverse of the base decorated with a shepherdess surrounded by reeded scrolls, the reverse with a landscape, roses and scrolls, the sides with reeded scrolls, the inside fitted with implements including tablets, steel scissors with gold handles, a folding steel knife with gold piqué posé brown handle and a steel bodkin with combined ear-spoon and ear-pick (tweezers and pencil missing); diamond-set pushpiece
