AN IMPORTANT ANTIQUE EMERALD AND DIAMOND PENDENT NECKLACE
Designed as a detachable rectangular-cut emerald and pavé-set old mine-cut diamond shield-shaped panel pendant with collet surmount suspended from a graduated neckchain of ten similar panels set with cushion-shaped and rectangular-cut emeralds to the old mine and old European-cut diamond crescent spacers, circa 1860, 54.0 cm. (eight panels in the necklace are detachable, accompanied by twelve additional crescent links and a clasp)
With certificate 31731 dated 30/3/1998 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the eleven emeralds are of Colombian origin; accompanied by a treatment slip confirming the presence of a filler identified as oil
