The flaring lip embossed and chased with two huntsmen with pack giving chase to a fox in a wooded setting, the stem applied die-stamped cast fruiting vine, with reeded section and stiff leaf border to the mouthpiece, engraved with presentation inscription

Lot Essay

It is likely that Robert Gray & Sons acted as retailers for this hunting horn. For an unusual order such as this Gray would have found it simpler to order the horn from a specialist London maker, thereafter striking his own punch beside the London hallmarks.
