maker's mark V.S. with a sailing ship between, late 19th century
Each on a fluted spreading circular foot with reed and tie borders, tapering reeded stems, issuing from acanthus foliage with further acanthus foliage to the reeded scroll branches, the upper tier of branches applied laurel sprays with partly-fluted urn-shaped sockets chased with festoons of berried laurel with fixed nozzles with reed and tie borders
