An Austrian turquoise glazed ceramic stove "Kachelofen"
19th Century
The urn-shaped finial above the serpentine-fronted top section headed by a winged cherub, surrounded by a moulded C-scroll with acanthus leaves, above an oval in a flaming lozenge surrounded by C-scrolls and channelled borders, the base section with a scallop shell flanked by scrolling foliage, above the rectangular fire place, distressed, consisting of loose parts of which some marked K, packed in seven wooden boxes of 38cm. high x 90cm. wide x 35cm. deep

According to the owner this "Kachelofen" was removed from a monumental house in the Taubstumme Gasse in Vienna
