Dr Jan de Meere has kindly pointed out that the location depicted is not the Leuvenhaven with Het Witte Huis but the Oudehaven seen from the Roobrug towards the Koningsbrug. The white house depicted in the distance on the left can be identified as Hotel Weimar on the Haringvliet. The painting can be dated circa 1910 as the Roobrug in the state shown in the present lot was replaced in 1913.
