Peasants merrymaking in a farmyard

Only two other signed pictures by the artist, who is recorded to have worked in Antwerp, and who is believed to have been a pupil of David Ryckaert III, are known. The first, dated 1666 was recorded in the collection F.H. Martin Koch, Wassenaar; the second, dated 1667, is in the Kunsthalle, Karlsruhe, inv. no253 (E. Kasten, A. Mýhlner and A. Nabert, Allgemeines Kýnstler-Lexikon, etc., IX, 1994, p.253).
