in an 18th century carved and stripped frame, possibly French, in the Régence style, with foliate outer edge, gadrooning, the corners of the ogee moulding with scallop shells on plain cartouches flanked by scrolling foliage, strapwork and flower-heads running on a plain ground to scallop shells at centres on plain cartouches flanked by scrolling foliage, cavetto, foliate sight edge
