A Transitional blue and white ewer
Circa 1640
The pear-shaped body painted with a broad band enclosing on both sides a mountainous landscape with overhanging rockwork, pine-trees and various dwellings, the high waisted foot encircled with a lappet border, the neck decorated with stylised tulips, the long curved bracket spout and loop handle with a spray of stylised lotus (bracket with small hairline crack)
