A blue and white ormulu-mounted jarlet and cover
Kangxi, the mounts late 17th/early 18th Century
The ovoid body painted on each side with a standing couple above a lotus-pattern band and divided by a jardinière with flowering plants, the spreading foot and cylindrical neck encircled by a zigzag-pattern band, the stepped flat cover with the Buddhistic 'golden coin' symbol (small chip at the base of the handle)
