A group of Samson armorial porcelain
The plates with a Samson mark in iron-red, 19th Century
Including a pair of famille rose octagonal plates enamelled with a central coat-of-arms flanked by a lion and unicorn and surmounted by a coronet, surrounded by scattered flowers and a ribboned garland, 22.4 cm diam.; an armorial saucer dish painted with roundels and wide bands of pink an iron-red flowers bordered by dark blue and gilt bands, 38 cm diam.; and an armorial bowl painted with a similar decoration enhanced by white enamelling in relief, 24.7 cm diam.
