A boanite censer and cover
Late Qing Dynasty
The globular vessel raised on tripod mask and paw supports, set at the sides with dragon ring-handles, the domed cover applied with three archaic handles, surmounted by a pierced and carved qilin finial, the glossy opaque stone greyish green, darkning towards spinach green on one handle, slightly speckled with darker inclusions (two rings of the cover missing)
