Circa 1955, by Kawai Kanjiro (1890-1966)
Shaped as a stylised peach of flattened oviform shape with sharp-edged sides defining the protruding shoulders, painted on one side in underglaze red, blue and brownish green with a single magnolia spray, the reverse with a geometric design within shaped roundels, surmounted by a diamond-shaped neck with broad flat rim in underglaze blue suffused irregularly with dark brown, the interior dark reddish brown
