Lot Essay

The Goshawk is a powerful woodland shortwinged hawk, similar to the enormous Sparrowhawk. It has a circumpolar distribution across the upper northern hemisphere, but winters in India. Its prey includes pigeons, gamebirds, squirrels and hares.
