A French ormolu-mounted and cut glass garniture
In the Empire Revival Style, Second half 19th Century
Comprising a coupe centre-piece and a pair of vases: the oval coupe with rope-twist rim, the sides with alternating rectangular panels of diamond and plain cutting, with faceted lower bowl, with a pair of pierced anthemia-cast handles each headed by a winged sphinx-hermed terminal, on spreading oval fluted stem, rectangular foot and leaf-cast plinth; the vases each with laurel-cast rim above a fluted waisted neck, with similarly cut body and pair of handles, on faceted and fluted spreading stem, square foot and leaf-cast plinth
The coupe: 20¾ in. (52.6 cm.) wide; 15 in. (38 cm.) high; 11½ in. (29 cm.) deep
The vases: 19½ in. (49.5 cm.) high (3)
