The rectangular top inset with a rouge marble within an egg-and-dart moulding, above the frieze with a concealed drawer, mounted with Chinoiserie lacquer panels, stamped to the underside HENRY DASSON & Cie/1890, on fluted tapering legs joined by an undertier with a lambrequin frieze, on toupie feet
20 in. (51 cm.) wide; 28½ in. (72 cm.) high; 14½ in. (37 cm.) deep

Lot Essay

Another table of this model by Dasson, dated 1888, was sold in these rooms, 29 February 1996, lot 100. A pair, again by Dasson and dated 1888, were sold by Wapler, Drouot Richelieu, Paris, 4 July 1996, lot 594. A virtually identical table is illustrated in C.
