Second half 19th Century
Of serpentine outline, with a three-quarter baluster gallery above a foliate frieze, with a pair of glazed panel doors and shaped glazed side panels flanked by a pair of columnar uprights, the interior with a mirrored back and with supports for a pair of shelves, the lower part with a central frieze drawer, the lock-plate engraved PAUL SORMANI/7 cimetière Saint-Nicolas/a Paris, on a pair of winged caryatid herm figures, one of a bacchante, the other of a satyr, on square tapering supports with a mirrored back and with a quarter-veneered shelf below, on cloven feet
