A pair of French ormolu-mounted kingwood and Vernis Martin meubles d'appui
In the Louis XVI Style, By V. Raulin, Paris, Late 19th Century
Each with a rectangular brèche violette marble top with canted front angles, above a frieze mounted with acanthus scrolls and fitted with a drawer, above a Vernis Martin panel door, showing on the one cabinet putti with birds, on the companion cabinet putti playing with a dog, each interior fitted with two shelves, above an apron with a foliate cartouche mount, each canted angle flanked by fluted columns, on anthemion-mounted blocks and six tapering legs on sabots, one with a plaque mounted to the carcass below the marble and engraved V. RAULIN 209-226 Bd St Germain
