The frosted gilt chain fusee movement with engraved cock, diamond endstone, flat blued steel hairspring with overcoil, bimetallic Z balance with threaded weights, Arnold's spring detent escapement with jewelled locking stone, dust protection to the winding arbor, typical sprung blued steel click set-up, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, Arabic five minute divisions, large subsidiary seconds, blued steel spade hands, in later silver gilt consular case, casemaker's mark TH for Thomas Hardy, with associated mahogany three-tier observation box dial and movement signed and numbered, case numbered
