Lot Essay

The light-weight double Bland punt-gun was the subject of impressive tests reported in 'The Field' magazine in 1914 and was also fully described in the 'wildfowling' volume of the Lonsdale Library. It rarely comes on the market. This particular gun was originally purchased for use by the vendor's late wife in her own single punt and has been in use on the Essex coast for over twenty years
