Each formed as a coal scuttle with a foliate scroll handle and on spreading circular foot, the fluted cylindrical bodies with hinged cover chased with a leaf and floral wreath, one with an ivory-handled miniature coal shovel, engraved on the reverse with an interlaced L monogram, marked on body, cover and shovel
