The porcelain 17th Century and the mounts late 19th Century
Decorated overall in blue, green, orange and gilt with flowers and geometric patterns, the domed cover with finial above a pierced scrolling foliate rim and the vase with wave-pattern base, on a pierced spreading base with acanthus leaves and swags, restorations
22½ in. (57 cm.) high; 13 in. (33 cm.) diam.
Lot Essay
A nearly identical ormolu-mounted Imari vase and cover was sold anonymously, Sotheby's London, 13 December 1996, lot 160 (£ 14,950).
