the porcelain kangxi, the silver 19th century
Each painted around the bulbous body in a pale cobalt blue with scholars' utensils and archaistic vases with flowering lotus and peony, the floral trellis-band at the shoulder dividing the long slim neck freely decorated with the Eight Precious Things, below a bulbous section at the rim partly covered with a silver stopper, chain and loose ring at shoulder

The silver mounts are stamped with Dutch maker's marks for M. Hackinberg-Middleburg (1853-1884).
