Decorated in iron-red and black enamel and gilt on underglaze blue with a mountainous landscape with houses, trees and clouds, the cover similarly decorated, the finial modelled as a bird of prey, some restoration to the cover

This vase is of an unusual design and may possibly have followed a Delft design which in turn had interpreted a Japanese design, for example that of the Delft wares of Pieter Adriaenz Kocks.
