(5 plates somewhat spotted or browned, occasional light spotting to text, P3 with tear to upper blank margin.) Original boards (rebacked, preserving sections of backstrip, corners bumped). FIRST EDITION describing one of the most extraordinary series of events in maritime history. "An extremely important book. This is the first edition of the official account of the Bounty expedition. It includes a somewhat revised version of the text of Bligh's narrative.
