Each with handle, scrolling attachment, inset metal liner and ribbed tapering sides, the underside with paper label and indistinguishable ink stamp '...KAHN...', minor variations in number of ribs and size
excluding fitments:
one 16¾ in. (42.5 cm.) high; 14½ in. (37cm.) diam.
the other 16½ in. high; (42 cm.); 15 in. (38 cm.) diam. (2)

Lot Essay

A similar pair of brass-mounted mahogany plate buckets with scrolling brass attachments, was sold from the Collection of the late Christopher Leuw, Esq., in these Rooms, 2 February 1995, lot 51 and a further pair was sold anonymously, in these Rooms, 2 February 1979, lot 133.
