A PAIR OF GEORGE III POLYCHROME-DECORATED SATINWOOD PIER TABLES
Each inlaid overall with boxwood and ebonised lines and crossbanded in tulipwood, the demi-lune top above a frieze decorated with ribbon-tied foliage, on square tapering legs headed by concave-cut corner panels above hung husks, one inscribed in chalk to the underside 'Bethell' , and with paper label inscribed in ink '1582' and with remains of further paper label, the other with paper label inscribed in ink '1131', another paper label inscribed in ink '1582' and a further paper label inscribed in ink '101', with remains of chalk inscription to the underside 'Tho Miller'(?), one top moved and consquently with plugged holes, restorations, the decoration refreshed
