The reeded circular top inlaid with geometrical brass patterns, with inset panels of pink and grey marble, on a collapsible, turned and reeded six-leg stand with central ropetwist finial, on a shaped and reeded base, square legs and brass castors, marked overall with Roman numerals

A table of this pattern, but lacking the feet blocks, was formerly in the collection of Edward Carrington of Providence, U.S.A, whose firm entitled Edward Carrington and Company entered the China trade in the early 19th Century (see J. McClure Mudge, Chinese Export Porcelain in North America, New York, 1986, fig. 261).
