The rounded rectangular twin-flap top crossbanded in padouk and with brass inlay, above a frieze drawer to the front and a simulated drawer to the reverse flanked by ribbed corner panels, on ring-turned tapering spirally-fluted legs, brass caps and casters, the top possibly associated

Lot Essay

Although an usual form, there are examples of related library breakfast tables with frieze drawers and extendable side flaps, one of which, in the manner of Gillows was sold by Christopher Cowlin, Esq., Lyegrove, Badminton, Avon, Christie's house sale, 26 September 1988, lot 74.
