Modelled as a young man in a puce coat and yellow breeches climbing down from the branches of a tree holding a bird's nest containing two chicks, his companion in a yellow hat and a flowered dress standing ready to receive the nest, on an oval mound base naturally coloured and applied with his hat and a birdcage (damages and losses to trees and foliage, minute chip to brim of her hat, very minor and minute chipping to edge of base)
