Modelled by J.J. Kändler, with a mottled brown chest and black bundle strapped to his back and holding an oval box beneath his left arm and a map in his right hand, in black hat, red-lined blue frock-coat, gilt-buttoned pink waistcoat, yellow breeches and black shoes, standing before a tree-stump on a mound base applied with flowers (restoration to hat, front edge of coat, map, nose, hands, both feet and ankles, broken through base and repaired)
