A Meissen teacup and saucer
Circa 1738, blue crossed swords marks, Pressnummern 2 and gilder's 6. to both
The cup painted with an estuary scene with figures and boats within a gilt and brown ombrierte scroll cartouche, the interior with a horseman in a landscape within a circular iron-red double line cartouche, the saucer with horsemen by a bridge and ruined buildings, within a similar gilt scroll cartouche, both with scattered Holzschnitt Blumen and ombrierte insects, gilt interlocking scrollwork borders (minor rubbing to gilding of cartouche and very slight rubbing to enamels of saucer, very slight rubbing to border of teacup)
