Circa 1765, blue crossed swords and dot mark
With gilt-edged shell and foliage-moulded spout and handle, painted with two wooded vignettes of a gallant and companion before an urn and an obelisk within a scroll, flower and foliage half cartouche and with scattered flowers, beneath an ozier-moulded border, the cover with a flower finial (handle repaired, minute chipping to finial), in a dark-green leather-mounted gilt-tooled case
