Circa 1750
Each facet of the exterior painted with a geometric pattern of pale-turquoise lozenges divided by black and white zig-zags, the interior of the cover finely stippled with a gallant and companion seated on two chairs beside a table, she with a pug dog on her lap and holding a fan and a nose-gay, in a columned interior hung with a drape, reeded mounts (restoration to back left corner and slight rubbing to edges of base)
