PERSIA, DATED AH 1207 (1792-3 AD)
The tapering watered steel single-edged blade with a gold damascened floral panel above, the slightly widening oval section hilt with flat spine, the blue ground with flowering sprays around white cusped ogival cartouches containing similar motifs, the upper terminal an Ottoman silver addition with inset stone, the sheath with ball knop enamelled similarly to the hilt, the collar with a pierced band of similar designs, the reverse with suspension loop attached to the signature cartouche
