A GARRUS CONICAL BOWL
PERSIA, CIRCA 12TH CENTURY
With vertical rim on short foot, the white interior carved through the slip with three large roundels each containing a drop-shaped palmette panel, a similar panel below, divided by similar panels and small rosettes within simple striped outer border, covered with a clear glaze, the exterior with a simple upper band of zigzag motifs covered with a green glaze, clean repaired breaks
10¾in. (27.3cm.) diam.
