Upper section with crenellated frieze and seven shallow leather-lined shelves, the lower cabinet with four doors finely carved with linenfold panelling and elaborate brass hinges and lock plates, shelf-lined interior, the sides also finely carved

Lot Essay

Identical linenfold panelling and carved Tudor roses are found on Pugin's Palace of Westminster furniture.
