Lot Essay

This table and that in lot 47 were made in the workshops of Edward Barnsley between 1925 and 1929. They were all purchased by the late Cyril Franklin and the workshop archives record details of the craftsmen, labour and material charges.
This particular example was commissioned for a nursery, made by Leslie Mundy in 125 hrs, the cost of the wood being £1.9s.6d..
