A bronze-mounted 'marqueterie-de-verre' carved vase

Bowed rectangular section, the body in clear glass internally decorated with golden amber and amethyst, overlaid at the base with an undulating band of olive green, inlaid in marqueterie-de-verre technique over scattered purple aventurine inclusions with two flowering aquilegia and leaves in purple, rust brown and yellow, the flowers and leaves with fine intaglio carved detailing, mounted on a bronze base cast with acanthus leaves
